Following an assessment of the lateral stability of a wall panel, it is sometimes necessary to strengthen the wall by adding 'wind posts'. These are normally built into the cavity or the inner leaf of the wall and so they are not visible when the building is finished.

We need the following information to design wind posts:

All design work is carried out in accordance with BS5950 (The structural use of steelwork) and BS5628 (The structural use of masonry).

The calculations provided will be suitable for Building Regulation approval.
