Our portal frame design includes the design of the portal frames, the design of the purlins and cladding rails and the design of the gable framing and stability bracing.

We need the following information to design a steel portal frames building:

architectural layouts showing the span, centres and the eaves height of the portal frames and the type of roof cladding

elevations showing the type of cladding (sheeting, brickwork, or a combination of both)

the approximate location of the building (this is needed to assess the wind and snow loadings)

details of any service loadings which will be supported by the steel frame
